NEW CLASS ADDED

 Machine Quilting 101                 Melissa St.Onge
 
 Join Melissa to learn the basics of quilting your
completed quilt top.  She will show you how to use a
walking foot for straight line ditch and grid quilting,
as well as, the basics to get you over your fear of
free-motion quilting.  If you’ve wanted to start
quilting your quilt tops, let Melissa be your guide,
she is knowledgeable on this topic and she will inspire
you to get started.  Two three hour classes
.

NEW CLASS ADDED

Fat Quarter Friendly Quilt            Dawn-Marie Fahey 

 

Join Dawn-Marie to make this Springy and Scrappy
Fat Quarter Friendly quilt.  We all have some fat
quarters in the stash we could use to make a pretty
quilt.  Join us for two sessions of 4 hours of sewing
and use up some of that stash. This photo does not do
it justice. Come into the shop to see it in person.

Frosty Babies Wallhanging                Katie Taylor 
 
Join Katie as she guides you through making is
great wintery snowman wallhaning.  This is a fun way to use some of those fabric scraps we all have.  You will learn everything you need to know to machine applique these snowmen.  You will have a lot of fun dressing each one.

Binding Workshop                                      Sue Trask

 

Learn how to cut your fabric strips, piece them 
together and apply them to your quilt top, whether
straight or bias binding.  Learn to make the final join
so that your start and finish will be undetectable.  If
you've had difficulty making your binding look
perfect, this is the workshop for you.  Also, learn
the invisible hand stitch to sew it down, quickly and neatly.              
Technique Class for all levels   $30.00

Intro to Quiltmaking                   Melissa St Onge 
 

 Join Melissa to begin your journey into the fabulous
world of quiltmaking.  This class is for the absolute
beginner  who wants to learn the basics from
cutting and piecing  your blocks to piecing a quilt top
and adding the borders.  You will save yourself lots of
frustration by learning to make quilts the "right" way
from the start.  Learn with Melissa, you won't regret
the experience you'll gain in a short amount of time.  
Beginner    Min 4 /Max 6  (8 week class)

Saturdays, March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th;
April  14th, 21st, 28th & May 5th

Carolina Lily                   Sue Trask 
 

This quilted wall hanging is made using Deb Tucker's
Wing Clipper Ruler.  Do you need some sign that spring
is coming? Have you bought this ruler and not known
what to use it for?? This wall quilt will do the trick, pick
some pretty springy fabric and join the class to make this
pretty quilt.  You will learn to make perfect geese with
little waste, as well as a small amount of hand applique
for stems,(or you can decide to machine applique those
if you wish.)  We'll put it all together and you can easily
quilt this one yourself, using your walking foot. 
Come in to see Sue's made with reds and greens,
it has the look of a poinsettia.

Confident Beginner & Up

Hand Quilting Workshop             Sue Trask

There is something to be said about the quiet rythm of hand quilting.  Join Sue to learn the basics of basting your quilt, marking your design, loading your quilt into the hoop, how to get the rocking motion to glide your needle through the layers of your quilt top.  We'll us the book shown which has been the bible for hand quilting.  We'll work on one project but there are many to practice on before you tackle your larger quilt. 
You will work on a practice piece, so all levels welcome

 Mystery Sunday
 

We've done this one day retreat many times
over the past few years.  We will provide you
some fabric requirements and we will help guide you in your fabric choice without giving the quilt design away.  You'll pre-cut your fabric and come for a fun filled day of sewing.  We will all share a pot-luck lunch.  
Oh yes, and the fabric fairies will do your pressing and unsewing as needed.  What a fun day!

There will be pre-cutting and pre-sewing instructions for this one.
